Today’s Guest Speaker

Today we give a warm welcome to our guest speaker, Joseph Najem.

As a nominal Christian in Beirut, Joseph questioned the meaning of life. One day a friend at work shared that the answer is in Jesus, and Joseph gave his life to Christ. His work with an advertising company opened his eyes to the spiritual needs of the region. Joseph began to pray that God would raise up Christian leaders. In time God called Joseph in answer to his own prayer. In 1990, Joseph left his job to attend Tyndale Theological Seminary in Toronto. Joseph returned to Lebanon with a vision to grow a mission’s movement with the Free Evangelical Association of Lebanon. Under his leadership, the mission team has expanded to 18 people serving in six Arab countries. The churches support refugee work in Lebanon, Syria and Jordan.

Notice of Members’ Meeting

A Business Meeting of the members of Grace Baptist Church will be held at the church on Sunday, February 24, 2019 from 10:30 am to 10:45 am. The board will recommend to the congregation an increase to the parking lot budget to award a contract in time for a spring construction. Next week, members will receive information about the background of this project and the details that have informed the recommendation. Please continue to pray for God’s guidance in this process. The short meeting will be held in between services, so it is crucial that children are picked up promptly from the nursery and junior church right after the 9:00 am service. All members are asked to make an extra effort to be seated promptly so that we have quorum to start right at 10:30 am.
