Parking Lot Construction Update

After finding lead and then ethylbenzene in our topsoil, the disposal facility refused to accept it. Because of this, a decision was made to over-excavate the area around our parking lot, bury the topsoil there, and take the essentially pristine sub-grade soil to the disposal facility. We spent most of this week waiting for the test results on the sub-grade soil to come back and Friday morning we were informed that, other than slightly elevated sodium levels (from salting our parking lot), the soil is clean and should be readily accepted at the disposal site. If all goes well, removal will begin in haste on Tuesday morning. Please pray that there are no further disruptions.

Life After Fifty-Five

On Thursday, June 13, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. L.A.F.F. will be having their end-of-season BBQ lunch, featuring Kerroy Williams, a vocal soloist. This is an event you won’t want to miss! All retirees are welcome to attend and invite a friend. Please contact the church office at 905-737-4737 or email to sign up.

This summer, children aged 3-11 will be going on an exciting adventure at “Roar!” starting Sunday June 30. Whether you are available for 1 or 2 weeks or the entire summer, you are invited to Orientation on Saturday, June 22 from 9:30 am – 1:00 pm. This time includes decorating, learning the songs, preparing games, and working on set-up. Pizza lunch will be provided. See Mrs. Keats for more details.
