I remember driving home one day and my car just came to a stop. I did what any guy would do in my situation. I popped the hood and stared at the interior as if, somehow, I’d see a loose nut that I could tighten to get my car started again. I couldn’t see one! A friend happened to be passing by and stopped to offer me a boost. That didn’t help. It wasn’t until a tow truck arrived that I learned I was out of gas. I hadn’t just forgotten to fill up – the gauge was broken. I was stuck and the indicators I was reading didn’t tell me why.
I think that most of us face times in our lives when we become stuck, and we can’t quite figure out why. Our lives aren’t progressing the way we’d hoped. There’s a restlessness where we thought we’d experience peace. Even our connection to God, if we have one, can feel a little empty. The Unstuck Life is designed as both a diagnostic tool as well as a repair kit. It’s written to help you see where you’re stuck and give solutions from the Bible to get unstuck.
We believe that the path to the unstuck life is BELIEVE. CONNECT. SHARE. Organized as a free, 12-week journey, it leads you through twelve key areas with bite-sized daily messages you can read or watch by video.
BELIEVE.
In BELIEVE, you’ll examine four foundational truths from the Bible. Believing and responding to these is at the heart of God’s plan to set us free. Many people hear only part of Jesus’ message, or they respond in half-hearted ways. As a result, it’s like they’re trying to drive a car with parts of the engine left on the garage floor. Take time to consider whether you’ve fully laid hold of the truths that give life vitality and meaning.
CONNECT.
If BELIEVE is about truth, CONNECT is about power. Many people have knowledge of the Bible but have never learned to fully connect that knowledge to their lives in ways that energize and empower them. Christianity might be viewed as right but still not make a significant difference in the person’s life. The car is sitting in the driveway, but they don’t know how to turn it on. In this section, you’ll learn how to engage the ignition and replenish the fuel for the life Jesus came to give.
SHARE.
When you first learn to drive, just getting out on the road can be exhilarating. But even driving a well-tuned car can start to feel dull if you don’t have a clear destination. SHARE is about defining that destination and helping you navigate there. It helps you see past yourself to the other people that God calls you to serve. As you do, you begin to experience the satisfaction you were created to enjoy.
