Many people want assurance of forgiveness without confronting the darkness of their own heart. John reminds us that those who walk in the light are honest about their failures and turn to Christ for cleansing. This message looks at the confession of sin that gives evidence to the reality of our faith.
1 John 1:5-10
Sometimes, especially recently, we all feel like we are in a dark tunnel, just waiting for the light to come at the end. In Psalm 57 we find David literally stuck in a cave and afraid for his life, but still praising God. This message looks at the prayer that God gives him, and how we too can find our refuge in God and realize that He is our light, even while still in the dark times.
Life can seem awfully dark at times. But Jesus claimed to be the light of the world. This message looks at the hope that He offers and the things that keep us from entering into the light that He seeks to shine into our lives.
