Jesus chose to humble Himself, eschew His own divine power, submit to the leading of the Holy Spirit, and rely upon His empowerment to live a holy life, in total obedience to His Father. This message will look at how to be filled with the Spirit, how to welcome the Spirit into our lives, and why the Holy Spirit chooses to come.
In today’s message, we’ll look at a conversation Jesus had with one of his disciples just prior to leaving this earth. Jesus was trying to give him (and all of us) critical truths to be able to spiritually flourish this side of heaven – so that we might make a difference for Him.
Relationships are a foundational part of life. Whether it is our spouse, parents, siblings, friends, or co-workers, we all depend on relationships. Sadly, despite their importance, relationships can be so hard to forge, develop, and maintain. In this sermon, we move past the world’s advice, dig into Scripture, and learn what God says about how we should approach our various relationships.
Sometimes, especially recently, we all feel like we are in a dark tunnel, just waiting for the light to come at the end. In Psalm 57 we find David literally stuck in a cave and afraid for his life, but still praising God. This message looks at the prayer that God gives him, and how we too can find our refuge in God and realize that He is our light, even while still in the dark times.
Stress, isolation and uncertainty have led many Christians to pull back from Christian fellowship during the pandemic. In the first century, Jewish Christians faced the temptation because of persecution. This message looks at the reasons they were given to persevere and how they can help us finish the race in our day.
With so much uncertainty in our lives, we long for rest from our cares and anxieties. This message looks at some of the things we worry about too much, some we worry about too little and the Saviour who promises us peace.

In this message we will explore the meaning of the sealed scroll and why no one is able to break the seals and read what is written except for the unique person who is at one and the same time the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, and Lamb who has been slain. Then we will consider why this is important if we are to interpret Revelation correctly, and it's significance for our lives as human beings.
Paul's mission is also our mission. This Sunday we will learn about what your mission is and about its cost and glory.
We live in a time where good news is rare. The timeless gospel message is good news. Christians sometimes forget how good the good news really is. How do we best share this good news in an age of spiritual barrenness? We’ll investigate an Old Testament story to learn pointers on how to extend a kind of love that “stoops.”
The Centurion was generally hated by the Jewish people. He was a professional soldier who is said to love the God of Israel and the Jewish people. He built a synagogue in Capernaum with his own resources because of that love. The leaders of the Jewish people overcame their prejudice because of his faith in the God of Israel.
Many people approach God for many different reasons, but of all these people, who will God receive? David, in Psalm 15, provides an answer to that ever important question. He calls people to walk the righteous path and experience the blessings of living in God's presence.
God is bringing Muslim immigrants to Canada in record numbers. Most of them have never had an opportunity to hear the good news of Jesus. We, as the church, have the amazing opportunity and calling to share with them the gospel that we so richly enjoy. The question though is “Are you ready…to give an answer for what you believe and why?”
God is at work! In the midst of social upheaval, more Muslims have come to Christ in our generation than in the previous 1,000 years. Ten million people are displaced within Syria, Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon. And the church has mobilized to serve their new neighbours. In this message, guest speaker, Joseph Najem, will share how “Eyes on Syria” gives us a view to this new frontier.
